COLUMBUS, Ind. - Milestone Contractors will begin roadway improvements starting Wednesday, August 5, on County Road 450S, from Old Lane Drive to County Road 50W as part of the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program.
This City of Columbus project will utilize cold in-place asphalt recycling, an environmentally friendly and cost-efficient pavement rehabilitation method that reduces waste and lowers material usage.
Here is the work schedule for the rest of the month:
- Wednesday, August 5 to Friday, August 7 - Crews will mill the existing pavement along the project limits.
- Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14:- Application of the recycling treatment is scheduled
- Monday, August 17, until the end of the project - Crews will allow the roadway’s moisture content to reach acceptable levels before placing the final asphalt by Friday, August 28.
Drivers should expect periodic delays, flagging operations, and reduced speeds throughout the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid the area when possible.
These improvements are part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, durable, and sustainable roadway infrastructure.
