Meth investigation leads to North Vernon arrest

NORTH VERNON, Ind. - The North Vernon Police Department responded to the Wayside Inn regarding suspected narcotics that had been located outside the business on May 5.

During the investigation, officers recovered approximately 1.9 grams of methamphetamine after the substance tested positive using a field test kit.

As a result of the investigation, Mark A. Richart was taken into custody and transported to the Jennings County Jail.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
