JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. - The Jennings County School Corporation (JCSC) has officially cancelled school for Wednesday, August 12 due to excessive flooding.
Originally, Jennings County Schools were under a 2 hour delay before being officially cancelled at around 8:30 a.m. An official statement on social media said:
"Daylight has revealed extensive flooding on county roads following heavy overnight rainfall, and additional rain is expected throughout the day. Therefore, Jennings County Schools will be moving to a canceled school day for Wednesday, August 12, 2026. A make-up day will be announced later. Once again, Jennings County Schools will be canceled on Wednesday, August 12, 2026."
