COLUMBUS, Ind.–Columbus emergency personnel and city officials are currently on the scene of a fatal incident at Mill Race Park on Wednesday, June 24.
UPDATE: 3:35 P.M.: Mill Race Park has been reopened
Just before 2:00 p.m., the Columbus Police Department (CPD) and Columbus Fire Department (CFD) responded to a report of an incident at the park's observation tower. Upon arrival, first responders located a deceased individual.
An investigation is underway surrounding the details of the person’s death. There is not believed to be any danger to the public.
While the investigation is ongoing, Mill Race Park will be closed.
