WHITELAND, Ind. — The Whiteland Town Council has reorganized its executive leadership following the recent resignation of its former council president.
Building on ongoing municipal initiatives and local governance efforts, the council formed a refreshed leadership team to guide upcoming town decisions.
The transition includes new roles for key local representatives, aiming to maintain stability while supporting the town's administrative priorities.
The Whiteland Town Council voted on the leadership appointments during its Sept. 8 meeting:
-
Council President: Deb Hendrickson (formerly vice president) was nominated and approved as President in a 3–1–1 vote, with Hendrickson abstaining
-
Council Vice President: The council unanimously selected Tim Brown as Vice President in a 5–0 vote
Local officials encourage residents to stay engaged as the restructured council prepares to tackle upcoming community budgets and municipal policy updates.
