Truck driver killed in I-65 crash, fire; southbound lanes closed most of Monday

HENRYVILLE, Ind. (7 p.m. UPDATE) - A semi-truck driver, involved in a fiery one-vehicle crash on southbound I-65, died in the accident on Monday morning, July 27.

The crash happened near Henryville, between State Road 160 and Brownstown Road. All southbound lanes of the interstate were closed for most of the day.

UPDATE: 1:34 p.m.: Crews are still working to remove debris from a semi-truck fire on southbound I-65, between State Road 160 and Brownstown Road, near Henryville. All southbound lanes are closed, and the left lane is closed in the northbound direction.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Interstate 65 southbound was closed between Brownstown Road and State Road 160 (near Henryville) due to a semi-truck fire on Monday morning, July 27. 

The semi-truck appears to have left the roadway and then caught fire. All lanes are closed in the southbound direction of travel at mile marker 21.3..
