SOUTH-CENTRAL, Ind. - The travel status of all south-central Indiana counties remains at the Warning (RED) level. This includes Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, Jennings, Shelby, Brown, and Decatur Counties.
Here are the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) advisory travel levels and what they mean:
- WARNING - The highest level of local travel status means that travel may be restricted to emergency management workers only; individuals should refrain from all travel and cooperate with local officials
- WATCH - Conditions are threatening the public's safety, and only essential travel, such as to and from work or for emergencies, is recommended
- ADVISORY - Travel is hazardous, and drivers should use caution, slow down, and allow extra time to reach their destinations; unnecessary travel should be avoided
Residents are urged to continue to monitor road conditions, follow guidance from local officials, and check the IDHS Indiana Travel Status Map before heading out.
