Single-lane, ramp closures planned on I-65 in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces upcoming single-lane and ramp closures on I-65 in Taylorsville (Exit 76).

On or after Thursday, June 4, crews will begin rehabilitation work on the bridge approach at the I-65 and U.S. 31 interchange (Exit 76).

Motorists can expect the following lane and ramp closures while work is in progress: 

  • (On or after the evening of Thursday, June 4): The right lane of southbound I-65 will close over U.S. 31 at Exit 76 for up to five days, weather permitting - the left lane will remain open
  • (On or after the evening of Thursday, June 4): The southbound I-65 off-ramp to southbound U.S. 31 will close for up to five days, weather permitting
  • (On or after the evening of Saturday, June 6): The right lane of northbound I-65 will close over U.S. 31 at Exit 76 for up to one day, weather permitting - the left lane will remain open

This project is part of a $3.8 million contract awarded to E&B Paving in February 2024. 

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
