SEYMOUR, Ind. - The Seymour Fire Department (SFD) responded to a trailer fire at Village Green Trailer Park on March 2.
One resident safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly. No human injuries were reported.
Firefighters found an unresponsive cat overcome by smoke inside the residence. Using pet oxygen masks, crews gave the furry friend some much-needed oxygen, and he was soon back on his paws. This cat has eight lives left.
SFD contacted the American Red Cross on behalf of the residents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
