NORTH VERNON, Ind. - The City of North Vernon congratulates North Vernon Airport intern Seth Burton for recently earning his private pilot license.
Burton is a senior at Jennings County High School and plans to pursue a career as a professional pilot.
He is also an active member of the local pilots association, where he and other area youth work alongside local mentors on an aircraft build project.
Seth offset much of the cost of his flight training after receiving the National Ray Aviation Scholarship. He is the fifth local student to receive this scholarship through the local pilots association.
