Hope Police to start tagging abandoned, non-plated vehicles

HOPE, Ind. - Over the next few days, the Hope Police Department has announced it will begin tagging abandoned, inoperable, and/or non-plated vehicles within the Town of Hope.

In accordance with Hope Town Code 8-69, Article 10, and applicable provisions of Indiana Code, cars and trucks found in violation may be tagged for removal.

If a vehicle on your property is tagged, you will have 20 days from the date of notice to either:

• Remove the vehicle
• Bring the vehicle into compliance

The Hope Police Department encourages residents to address any abandoned, inoperable, or non-plated vehicles on their property before enforcement begins.
