GREENWOOD, Ind. — The Greenwood Common Council unanimously passed the first reading of Ordinance 2629 on Monday, authorizing the creation of four municipal riverfront district development project areas.
Council Member Hill sponsored the ordinance. It was introduced to establish designated riverfront development districts pursuant to Indiana Code 7.1-3-20-6 and 7.1-3-20-6.1.
The council voted 9-0 to advance the measure on its first reading. The designation enables eligibility for specific alcoholic beverage permits intended to support economic development and hospitality projects within the defined district boundaries.
