FRANKLIN, Ind. - Wednesday, April 8, was a very active day for the City of Franklin Fire Department (FFD).
First, Battalion 2 and Ladder 21 were dispatched to assist the Needham Fire Department on a working barn fire. Shortly thereafter, Franklin firefighters were called to a working house fire in the Franklin Fire Station 22 district. The homeowners made it out safely. No injuries were reported.
The cause of both blazes is under investigation.
FFD thanks its mutual aid partners for their quick response, support, and for making a tremendous difference when multiple emergencies occur simultaneously.
A spokesperson said, "Days like Wednesday are a great reminder of how important strong partnerships and teamwork are in keeping our communities safe." Assisting FFD were the White River Township, Bargersville, and Greenwood Fire Departments.
