Edinburgh Firecracker Festival is Saturday

EDINBURGH, Ind. - The annual Edinburgh Firecracker Festival will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America this Saturday, July 4, in downtown Edinburgh.

The Town of Edinburgh invites you to its all-day party starting at 8 a.m. The event will feature food, a parade, a car show, a pie-baking contest, music, fireworks, and more.

The fun begins on Friday, July 3, when entries for the pie-baking contest are due for Pie Kappa. Drop off pies to be judged from 3-5:30 p.m. on Friday at Edinburgh Methodist Church. The winner will be announced at the festival.

Edinburgh Firecracker Festival Day events on July 4 include:

  • 8-10:30 a.m. - Lions Club Breakfast
  • 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. - Vendors, games, and food trucks
  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m. - Corvette Car Show on East Main Cross
  • 1:45 p.m. Golf Cart Parade from the east side to downtown
  • 2 -10 p.m. - Music on plaza lot
  • 10 p.m.- Fireworks
