COLUMBUS, Ind. - Dove Recovery House for Women is expanding with a new home in Columbus, its third in the state, addressing a critical need for residential substance use disorder treatment in Southern Indiana, serving 15 women nightly at no cost.

A first-of-its-kind recovery housing program for women in Bartholomew County is just days from opening its doors and changing lives. In April 2025, construction began on Dove Recovery House of Bartholomew County, bringing the community’s only intensive recovery housing program for women to Columbus.

The public is invited to a Ribbon-Cutting and Open House for Dove House of Bartholomew County, 3070 Pavilion Drive in Columbus, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19. The program includes a ribbon-cutting and ceremony, followed by open house tours until 1 p.m.

Designed to support women through early sobriety, Dove Recovery House for Women provides safe, structured housing paired with accountability and support.

Beginning this summer, up to 15 women with substance abuse disorder will have a place to begin healing and work toward long-term recovery.
