COLUMBUS, Ind. - The City of Columbus will revitalize Parking Lot 10, at Franklin and 6th Streets, as part of an initiative to expand the downtown tree canopy.
The project supports goals outlined in the Columbus Downtown 2030 Plan and replaces existing plant material with native, sustainable, and low-maintenance landscaping.
The lot will close at 5 p.m. on October 12 and remain inaccessible for about three weeks. All vehicles must be removed by the deadline.
Paid parkers will be temporarily relocated to city facilities at:
- 7th and Franklin
- Lafayette and 3rd
- 4th and Brown
- Franklin and 5th (Irwin Block)
Affected parkers will receive a credit on their monthly fees. For inquiries regarding closures, alternatives, or credits, contact the Community Development Department.
