COLUMBUS, Ind. -  Centra Credit Union recently supported four local nonprofits in the Bartholomew County area with $2,000 in donations as part of the Centra Foundation’s "Pay It Forward" campaign.

Pay It Forward empowers Centra’s Team Members to lead mini-service projects in groups that support local nonprofits.

The following nonprofit organizations serving Bartholomew County were supported as part of Pay It Forward:

  • Beloved
  • Just Friends Adult Day Services
  • Love Chapel
  • Su Casa

“This is such a meaningful donation, and it truly reflects the compassion and dedication Centra has in our communities,” a spokesperson from Love Chapel said. “Thank you, everyone, for coming together and showing what it means to care for our community."

Team Members also stocked community libraries with new books, donated blankets to "Safe Haven" boxes at various southern Indiana fire stations, and created outdoor patio areas for residents at Traditions of Columbus.

In the second quarter of 2026, 115 Team Members volunteered their time, and a total of $9,000 was returned to local communities. The Centra Foundation is allocating a total of $28,000 across 56 teams in 2026 to the Pay It Forward campaign.
