FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced an approach closure for U.S. 31/Lemley Street in Johnson County.
Beginning Monday, July 20, crews will close the east side approach to U.S. 31 from Lemley Street in Franklin. This will allow for the installation of new drainage under the approach. Work is expected to take two days to complete, depending on the weather.
Additional information and updates will be provided as work progresses via INDOT News, Facebook, and X. Get more details on what is forthcoming on U.S. 31 here.
This work is part of a $66.2 million intersection improvement contract awarded to Milestone in February 2025. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in 2028. Additional information can be found on the INDOT Southeast webpage.
Drivers should slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All INDOT work schedules are subject to change.
