Bots, Bosses and Buddies

We are thrilled to share some exciting news — two of our BCSC robotics teams have qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri! This is an incredible achievement that represents months of hard work, dedication, and countless hours of designing, building, programming, and competing. To celebrate and raise funds, we're hosting Bots, Bosses & Buddies: Gateway to Worlds on April 2 at Central Middle School from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

Qualifying for the VEX World Championship is a rare and prestigious accomplishment. For many of our students, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience — a chance to compete on the world stage alongside the best robotics teams from across the globe. It's an opportunity that will inspire them, challenge them, and create memories they'll carry for the rest of their lives.

To make this trip possible, we have launched a fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $13,000 to help cover travel, lodging, registration, and competition expenses. We are reaching out to our community to help offset the cost for our families, many of whom would struggle to bear the full financial burden on their own. Your generosity can make the difference between a student being able to attend or having to stay home.

Event Schedule — April 2 at Central Middle School
5:30 PM — Check-in opens & pizza is served
6:00 PM — Driver training sessions begin (students coach your team)
6:30 PM — Matches start on 2 fields running simultaneously
Each team drives 6 matches and may switch robots at any time
~8:00 PM — Awards ceremony
8:30 PM — Event concludes

We also want to be transparent about how funds will be used. In the event that we raise more than our targeted goal, all remaining funds will stay with BCSC Robotics and will be used to support district teams next season with registration fees, competition materials, and other program needs. Every dollar raised benefits our students — this year and beyond.

These students have earned their spot on the world stage through their talent, teamwork, and perseverance. Now they need their community behind them. Whether you can contribute financially or simply spread the word, your support means the world to our teams and their families.
