NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Thunder only happens when it’s raining?
That’s not quite true and it may be a stretch but “thunder” of a musical kind will be heard inside the Park Theatre Civic Centre in North Vernon on Friday, February 2, when Back 2 Mac — A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac will be in concert. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
“It’s an honor to play some of the best songs ever,” said Danny Flanagan, one of Back 2 Mac’s guitarists. The group also features bass player Dupont native Tim Halcomb, plus Kimmet Cantrell, Ray Rizzo, Bob Ramsey, and Lauren Balthrop. Bob Willis of North Vernon will join them for at least one Tom Petty song.
The show is part of the band’s tour that includes stops at Woodstock (New York), Nashville and Maryville (Tennessee), Berea, Kentucky, Chicago, Bloomington, Louisville, Indianapolis, and Lexington.
“Back 2 Mac always put on a great concert and packs the Park, usually selling out,” said Patti Yount, Park Theatre board president. “The $20 Tickets are going fast again and are available in advance at the Park Theatre box office, 25 N. Madison Ave., North Vernon. Cash and checks only are accepted.
The box office is open from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. If tickets are still available, they will be sold at the door the night of the concert.
