GREENWOOD, Ind. – Indy South Greenwood Airport is hosting a “Just PLANE Fun” Airport Day this Saturday, August 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free for attendees.
The Experimental Aircraft Association will offer free Young Eagle Flights to kids ages 8-17, and anyone may purchase a helicopter ride from Freedom Helicopters for $40/person or Huey of Columbus for $100/person.
Local flight training schools will be available for more information for those interested in flying.
Also on hand at “Just PLANE fun” are WWII-era aircraft, the Civil Air Patrol, the P-51 Mustang and mobile theater, trainer planes, plus Greenwood Fire Department equipment and vehicles.
