COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers earlier this month presented a plaque to American Legion Post #24 to commemorate its contributions to the sheriff’s office.
“The American Legion has provided thousands of dollars to our community and to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) by supporting the Sheriff’s Youth Academy and our D.A.R.E. Program,” Myers said.
The sheriff, who is completing eight years in the office, said the post’s support has allowed BCSO to be more involved with youth and provide more proactive policing.
