COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) received a flock camera hit on a reported stolen vehicle heading into Columbus from W. Old Nashville Road, on Thursday just before 8 a.m.
The car passed a BCSO deputy at Second and Jackson Streets and then went north on Brown Street. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Antwaun Terrel Jones, Jr., 18, Columbus.
Jones was arrested, taken to Bartholomew County Jail, and charged with theft of a motor vehicle and operating without ever receiving a license. The Columbus Police Department contacted the owner to retrieve the vehicle.
