COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department is investigating a report made by a third party in regards to a threat made on a social media post involving an unspecified act of violence on Wednesday at Central Middle School.
Several CPD officers, including school resource officers, are working to determine the source of the post. CPD says that there are a lot of rumors being spread as well as false and inaccurate information being shared online.
Officers are also reporting that at this time, they have not confirmed any credible threat to students, or staff, at Central Middle School.
CPD has been in constant communication with BCSC staff this evening, and will update the community with any relevant developments.
