COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Animal Care Services (CACS) invites community members who are wanting to get their pet spayed or neutered to sign up for a special transport service. This resource delivers pets to spay/neuter clinics in Indianapolis and then back to Columbus.
Pets are transported in the morning and returned home that evening. Prices range from $40 to $45 for cats to between $50 and $90 for dogs. Rabies vaccination is required and can be administered at the time of the surgery for an additional cost. Other vaccinations and microchipping are also available.
“If more pets were spayed and neutered, it would extend their lives and cut down on the number of unwanted animals filling county shelters,” said Nicohl Birdwell Goodin, CACS General Manager.
Bartholomew County residents can sign up for the spaying and neutering services here.
