HOPE, Ind. – How would you like to be the owner of your very own police car? The Hope Police Department has a surplus of vehicles so it is auctioning off one of its cars.
Law enforcement is currently holding a sealed bid auction for a 2012 Chevrolet Caprice. The car, with 96,000 miles, has the “detectives” package, a Corvette LT1 engine, and a six-speed Allison transmission.
Anyone wishing to bid on the vehicle must follow all of the conditions and rules of the auction which can be found here. There is a minimum reserve on the vehicle, and if the price is not met, the car will not be sold.
Auction bidders may drop off a bid in a sealed envelope to the Hope Police Department at 711 Harrison St., in Hope, before noon on Friday, October 15.
