INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) said there were 2,952 new citizens included in its Wednesday update of those contracting coronavirus. There have been 889,362 residents who have been infected with the disease since March 2020.
ISDH also announced that 86 virus-related deaths occurred between August 21 and September 7. So far, 14,258 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19.
Bartholomew County has confirmed 9,822 cases, Jackson County reports 6,174, Jennings County documents 3,215, and Johnson County has recorded 22,425 cases of the virus over the last 18 months of the pandemic.
