COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Plan Commission met Wednesday evening and approved a site development plan for the Bartholomew County Historical Society, 524 Third Street, that allows it to place a six-foot-tall sign not normally permitted in a commercially zoned area.
Bartholomew County Historical Society education manager Adam Redicker told the commission that there is currently no way for passersby to know that there is a museum in the building on the property.
In other business, the commission recommended that the annexation and rezoning requests put forth by the Deckard Family Trust for about eighteen acres located next to Woodside Industrial Park on the city’s south side be sent to Columbus City Council for consideration.
