EDINBURGH, Ind. – Although most attention was placed on the Kentucky pair that supposedly stole from the Polo Ralph Lauren store on Wednesday afternoon, there was actually another robbery at an Edinburgh Premium Outlets store about four hours earlier in the day.
The Edinburgh Police Department (EPD) responded to a reported theft at Tommy Hilfiger on Wednesday at around 12:30 p.m. As a woman left the store, alarms went off. She allegedly refused to let employees search her bag, started a disturbance, and drove off. When she pulled away, the bag of clothing was left behind in the mall parking lot.
EPD Chief Doyne Little located the car on I-65 at the 84-mile marker and initiated a traffic stop. Latrice Dudley, 46, of Harvey, Illinois, was arrested without incident and charged with theft.
It was the fourth such event at Indiana Premium Outlets in recent weeks. As law enforcement continues to investigate the rash of robberies. It is not known if this theft is related to the other three.
