COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Highway Department has announced that Milestone Contractors will be working on the asphalt overlay projects in several areas of the eastern part of the county this coming week, weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution and slow down in these areas. Because the roads may be closed on certain days, drivers can avoid delays by planning an alternative route.
Here is the schedule:
- Monday, August 11 – County Road 100E from County Road 550N to the North Terminus
- Tuesday, August 12 – County Road 265N from Newbern Road to Huffer Road; and Newbern Road from Bridge to Bridge
- Wednesday, August 13 – finish Newbern Road and Huffer Road from County Road 265N to County Road 1000E
- Thursday, August 14 – finish Huffer Road, from what didn’t get completed on Wednesday
