SOUTH-CENTRAL INDIANA – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Heat Advisory for Columbus and the wider south-central Indiana area for Thursday, July 24, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Heat index values up to 106 are expected for portions of central, east central, north central, south central, and southeast Indiana.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. NWS advises people to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
