COLUMBUS, Ind. – Legal Aid District 11 says it will hold a walk-in clinic this Tuesday, July 23, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Bartholomew County Public Library, in Columbus.
The Legal Aid Clinic/Pro Bono program utilizes local volunteer attorneys, offering free legal consultations to low-income individuals for the provision of legal advice and assistance in furtherance of equal access to justice within the community who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney.
At no cost, the Legal Aid walk-in clinic on Tuesday provides individuals with a 10-minute consultation to answer questions and offer legal information on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no need to register in advance.
General advice is given from 3 to 4 p.m. and residents can get counsel on evictions from 4 to 5 p.m.
