SOUTH-CENTRAL, Ind. – The National Weather Service (NWS) and local county emergency offices have announced that there is the potential for severe weather this weekend in south-central Indiana.
Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, and Jennings Counties have an “Enhanced Risk” of severe weather on Sunday. The situation will be monitored through the weekend and updated as necessary.
Several rounds of heavy rain and severe thunderstorms are possible on Sunday. The first wave of bad weather will hit late morning or early afternoon. After a short break, additional rounds are probable on Sunday afternoon into the overnight hours.
Besides the rain, NWS says the main threats are damaging winds of up to 60 mph and hail.
