BARGERSVILLE, Ind. – Bargersville’s Halle Booher won the Outstanding Senior Award from the Westmont College Chemistry Department at a special convocation in April.
Her professors said, “Halle Booher is not just a brilliant student, she is an exceptional person. As a student, she quickly grasps concepts and is clear and concise when writing, speaking, and asking questions. However, whether in the classroom, lab, studying abroad in Ireland, or leading worship at her church, her intellectual brilliance and efficiency are always overshadowed by joy, patience, curiosity, and care for others. Such a rare combination of intellect and character has produced a cacophony of praise from her chemistry professors and the many students she has served as a teaching assistant.”
Booher, an Augustinian Scholar, graduated with honors from Westmont on May 4.
Westmont College, in Santa Barbara, Calif., is the premier Christian liberal arts college in the Western U.S. and one of the top two in the country. Westmont is known for academic excellence, holistic education, cohesive community, and leadership development.
