COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Indiana Philharmonic (CIP) has made some changes for this year’s annual Salute! Concert to kick off Memorial Day Weekend.
The concert, which honors and celebrates those who have served or are serving in the U.S. armed forces, has a new venue for 2024. Because of the construction near the courthouse (the usual home to the concert), this year’s event has been moved to the lawn at Columbus Airpark, next to the C-119 airplane.
There will be a military display, lots of food/drinks available for purchase, and you can mingle with special guest Mark A. Pillar, Major General USAF (Retired).
The Salute! concert, on Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m., is free but requires considerable resources to produce. The CIP invites you to join its sponsors and help support the event by donating in honor of a loved one who is serving or has served by clicking here.
The public is invited to meet Maj. Gen. Mark A. Pillar and enjoy your favorite patriotic music on the evening of May 24, at the Columbus Airpark.
