FRANKLIN, Ind. – One local fire department lost a 20-year veteran on Wednesday while another local fire agency welcomes him as its new chief.
The City of Franklin Fire Department (FFD) threw a going-away party for Justin Lollar and celebrated his 20 years of service to the department. During his tenure, he served as a firefighter and Deputy Chief.
Lollar is retiring from the Franklin Fire Department but he is not unemployed. He has joined Edinburgh Fire and Rescue as its new chief.
Before coming to FFD, he served on the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
A Franklin Fire Department spokesperson said, ” We wish him the best and thank him for his service.”
