GREENWOOD, Ind. — A Johnson County man was arrested on several drug dealing charges as a result of a traffic stop early Monday morning. The Columbus Police Department (CPD) pulled over a vehicle near 3rd and Washington Streets at around 2:35 a.m.
While speaking with the driver, Casey L. Kappes, 35, of Greenwood, the officer observed that he seemed extremely nervous and was breathing heavily. A search of the suspect’s car was conducted and multiple bags containing cocaine and methamphetamine packaged for sale were allegedly located.
Kappes was placed under arrest and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was remanded on a 48-hour for the preliminary charges of Dealing Cocaine (Level 2 Felony) and Dealing Meth (Level 3 Felony).
