COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded Thursday night to the 76-mile marker of I-65 after a report of an accident in which a semi rolled over and obstructed one northbound lane. The crash occurred at around 7:20 p.m.
The driver of the semi suffered a head injury and required medical attention.
The semi was carrying 40,000 pounds of fabric softener. The load did not spill into the median but the fabric softener had to be unloaded by hand by personnel from the responding wrecker service, which required the interstate to be restricted to one lane for several hours.
