COLUMBUS, Ind. – The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for central and southern Indiana from 7 p.m. on Saturday through 1 p.m. on Sunday, according to Bartholomew County Emergency Management.
Very cold wind chills are expected, some as low as 25 below zero, in portions of central, east-central, north-central, south-central, southeast, southwest, and west-central Indiana during the period. Pockets of light snow and blowing snow are also a good possibility.
The combination of cold temperatures and gusty winds could result in frostbite on any exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Dress warmly when you are outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
