COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Ivy Tech Community College Columbus biology department offers another free local nature hike for anyone interested in learning more about the natural environment around them.
The latest hike will be on Saturday, December 9, at 10 a.m., at the Driftwood Public Fishing Area, 8825 South U.S Hwy 31, in Edinburgh.
Ivy Tech Columbus faculty member Dr. Tom Sobat will lead the walk, focusing on winter bird counts.
The adventure is open to the public. Hikers will meet at 10 a.m. at the first parking lot of the fishing area.
Participants should dress appropriately for cold weather.
