Ivy Tech Community College Columbus science faculty members are offering a free stargazing and insect observation event for anyone interested in learning more about the natural environment around them.
The event begins this Saturday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m., at the Greensburg State Fishing Area on the west side of Greensburg off of State Road 3.
Ivy Tech Columbus faculty members Dr. Tom Sobat and Cyrus Screwvala will lead the program. It is open to the public, and all community members are welcome. Gates open at 7:45 p.m.
The Ivy Tech science department telescope will be set up for stargazing, and a blacklight will be available for nighttime insect observations.
