NASHVILLE, Ind. – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance after a recent spate of mailbox vandalism. The crimes took place on Sunday, September 17, between midnight and 5 a.m.
The damage started just inside the Bartholomew County line on Bellsville Pike and went west onto State Road 135 South at Stone Head. It continued north at residences on State Road 135 South. At least 30 mailboxes and several road signs belonging to INDOT were vandalized.
Home and business owners in the area are asked to check surveillance video for a possible westbound pickup truck. Any information can be forwarded to Brown County Dispatch at 812-988-6655 extension zero.
