JACKSON COUNTY – A single-vehicle accident in eastern Jackson County on Thursday sent a Clark County man to an Indianapolis hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Just after 9 a.m., a pickup truck driven by Logan M. Light, 31, of Charlestown, was southbound on U.S. 31, near County Road 50N in Jackson County. For an unknown reason, his vehicle crossed the northbound lanes of U.S. 31 and left the roadway, per the Indiana State Police.
Light’s vehicle hit a culvert, rolled multiple times, and he was ejected from the pickup during the collision. He was transported by EMS to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour before being flown to an Indianapolis area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing and toxicology results are pending at this time.
