COLUMBUS, Ind. — The South Central Indiana Master Gardener Association (SCIMGA) is holding “Picking the Right Native Shrub” on Tuesday, September 12, at 6 p.m.
The event will be held at the Bartholomew County Public Library in the Main Level Meeting Room. A virtual option is also available and you can register for it by visiting here.
The speaker will be Bill DeBoer, from Woody Warehouse, a tree and shrub nursery located in Lizton, Indiana. He has 20 years of experience in plant propagation and has been a commercial grower for the last three years.
Door prize winners will receive one of three varieties of native shrubs: Shrubby St. John’s Wort, Common Ninebark, and Red Osier Dogwood.
SCIMGA is the local chapter of Purdue Extension Master Gardeners and hosts public events and educational sessions throughout the year in the Columbus area.
