NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) received a report on Wednesday that a female had possibly been raped several times over the course of two months in Geneva Township.
Deputies conducted an interview with the suspect Wednesday evening. He was identified as Jose Emiliano Lopez-Monzon, of North Vernon.
As a result of the JCSO investigation and interview, Lopez-Monzon was remanded to the Jennings County Jail where he is being held without a bond on the preliminary charges of Rape (Level 3 Felony), Criminal Confinement, (Level 5 Felony), and Sexual Battery (Level 6 Felony).
