HOPE, Ind. – The Hope Volunteer Fire Department (HVFD) announced this weekend that it had purchased a Stryker Lucas 3 chest compression system.
This device will provide continuous high-quality chest compressions during CPR and will alleviate the need for several people rotating rotate during manual chest compressions.
Studies show that the Stryker Lucas 3 provides 60% more blood flow to the brain over manual chest compressions.
HVFD officialls say that its firefighters and personnel can now provide a higher quality service to the community.
