COLUMBUS, Ind. — The National Weather Service (NWS) is holding a basic, Skywarn severe weather spotting class this week. The course is Wednesday, March 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Columbus Learning Center on Central Avenue.
The program is free of charge. Any questions should be directed to Bartholomew County Emergency Management director Shannon Cooke at scooke@bartholomew.in.gov., or by calling 812-379-1680.
Skywarn consists of trained volunteers who help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to NWS.
