MORGAN COUNTY, Ind.- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and contractor H.I.S. Constructors are planning short-term stoppages next week at the State Road 252 bridge over West Fork Crooked Creek in Morgan County. The bridge is located just over a mile west of State Road 135 near Morgantown.
On Monday, January 23, crews will intermittently stop traffic for up to 20 minutes at a time throughout the day to complete the removal of a concrete structure. Drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route if possible. Stoppages are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
State Road 252 is currently reduced to one lane with temporary traffic signals for a bridge replacement project that began last fall. The INDOT maintenance is anticipated to be completed this spring.
