TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The German Township Volunteer Fire Department (GTVFD) and Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to two accidents on Tuesday afternoon. One sent an individual to the hospital.
The first was a three-vehicle crash, just after 4 p.m., at County Road 550N and U.S. 31. No injuries were reported.
The second wreck, at about the same time as the first, involved two cars and occurred at County Road 800N and U.S. 31, in Taylorsville. One vehicle stopped down an embankment and the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
GTVFD firefighters extricated the driver by removing both driver’s side doors and the B post. The driver was then loaded into a stokes basket and moved up to the waiting Columbus Regional Health EMS ambulance for transport to the hospital.
