INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced Monday that the November unemployment rates for Bartholomew and surrounding counties stayed about the same.
For Bartholomew County, the November rate was 2.3%, down from October’s 2.4%. The county reported 42,377 employed residents out of a 43,387-person labor force.
The Jennings County rate for November was 2.8%, compared to 2.7% the previous month. Johnson County’s November rate was 2.3%, slightly lower than October’s 2.4%. Jackson County recorded a 2.4% November unemployment rate, compared to 2.5% for October.
Indiana state officials at DWD announced on Friday that the overall Hoosier unemployment rate for the month of November remained at 3.0%, the same as it was in October.
